Namene Solar wins ‘Innovative African Business Model’ at BRAAD Awards
One year ago, Namene Solar was honoured to receive the British Award for African Development for Innovative African Business Model of the Year.
The awards season this year will be quiet, but the Namene Solar team are looking back on a year of impact, after winning the ‘Innovative African Business Model of the Year’ Award.
Namene’s business model was praised for its innovation and unique approach to providing scalable, solar powered products and installations to customers to power their lives and businesses.
The British Award for African Development (BRAAD) is a business and development forum that recognises and highlights the exceptional achievements within the African Diaspora that focus on innovative business ideas and entrepreneurship.
The awards ceremony was held on 24th October and showcased industry expertise and thought leadership across six categories: Business & Enterprise, Community and Social Development, Innovation & Technology, Diplomacy, Media & Entertainment, Finance & Technology.
As full service solar specialists, Namene Solar scooped the award for delivering affordable, scalable solar solutions and portable solar lights to customers across Africa.
